Pastoral Eldership 

This Pastoral Leadership will assist the Senior Pastor in all his duties when the need arises and may act on his behalf upon request. The Senior Pastor will be the Visionary and will together with the Eldership share his vision and seek God’s face before bringing it for implementation. The Eldership will co-opt as the need arises by the discretion of the standing elders and having met the criteria for a Biblical elder. All elders should have been proven to be men of good standing and haven been tested as qualifiers. Any elder who fails to live up this standard will be disqualified.

b. THE FINANCIAL OVERSEER AND FUNCTION OF OPERATION.

The Finance Committee will be responsible for the collecting and counting of the offerings on the given Sunday and will sign and receipt all current payments. The Fin Overseer will see to the costing and financing of all church programs / projects and events. He will set the Budget with the Finance Committee in consultation with the Senior Pastor and bring it before the church for voting. Designated internal posts will remain internal.

c. THE DEPT. LEADERS AND THEIR CODE OF OPERATION

This Structure includes:

THE BWA, BMA, YOUTH, MISSIONS & EVANGELISM, SUNDAY SCHOOL, SENIOR CITIZENS, INTERCESSIONS will operate on a monthly report and request basis. They will submit a program of planned events. They will submit financial requests to the Financial Overseer for planned events early in the year so that it might be budgeted for. Only emergencies will be financed outside the budget and that will be based on funds available at the time of the written request. 

All requests will be in writing to the Admin and Financial Secretary and the reply will be the same.

The Depts will have their own sub- committees who will assist the leader, however only leaders will attend Forth Monthly Meetings to share information and be informed of church’s expectations and limitations. All leaders will submit a Monthly report to the Ministry Facilitator which will include ideas, incidents and issues.

d. CELL GROUPS AND AREA LEADERS

The Cell Group LEADERS will work under the Missions Pastor who will co-ordinate this dept. He will submit a monthly report to the Senior Pastor who will together with the Elders assist in areas of concern and ministerial care and encouragement. The cell group leaders are responsible for the daily care and concerns of the people. They are to lead in Bible Studies that pontificate Teachings of faith, hope and doctrine and will make sure that people under them are nurtured and growing spiritually. The will act as Area Leaders and will communicate cares and concerns that might effect the well-being of the church and its witness.  They can at any given time call upon the Deacon Team for assistance in the 5 designated areas as listed under the portfolio of deacons and deaconesses.

The church phone number will be the central contact for most day issues. A cell register will be made available to all leaders. Any visit that might have resulted in some kind of problem or creates any kind of tension should be reported to the Admin Secretary who will in turn notify the Eldership Board who will look into the matter and find a cordial solution to the circumstance.
