A Message from the Pastor :

I greet you in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are about to begin a year of expectation and I am convinced that God is building up his people despite the tribulations, tests and trials that battle to suppress us. My encouragement to you is to be used of God and to be used by God in all areas of this fleeting life. In the book of Numbers 13 there is a command to go and explore the land of Canaan. A report is brought back. We see that one is favorable and the other is fearful. The specific command was to see who lived there, what were their living conditions and if it was worth taking possession of it. As a church we too have to consider what our options are and what conditions surround us as we to move forward into the future. As a church we too have come from an Egypt of spiritual oppression, physical divisions, financial complications and moral contamination.

 What is the way forward? Are we going to look at the produce of our past problems or the proof that God is in control of all things? In Chapter 14 of Numbers the people rebel against Moses and Aaron for bringing them into this predicament only because of fear. The report created faith in some of the people but in most of them fear. After 42 years we have come this far and God who is the Lord of the church has a plan for this congregation that will take it into the future. The only way to know it is to walk by faith as we once again fix the future by faith. Submission is the greatest contribution you can make and will ever make to those who lead under Divine Authority. May my life be an example to you that God can do the impossible. In Jeremiah 32:27 for is there anything to difficult for God to do is a clear indication that God operates even where man might chose not to co-operate. This is the church of Jesus Christ and He said He would build it and the gates of hell will not prevail that is go against its mission.

We are going to attempt to fix the future by faith beyond 2008. Your participation will make this ministry progress and perform at its best. I want to encourage you to go the extra mile with your attitudes and abilities. I am looking forward to a Great Year of Ministry with you and those who will be full time on staff. I am the man called by God for this time and I would be giving you spiritual direction as we walk into an unknown future but with a known God. Those who we put in authority to make good financial and administrative decisions will guide me. My task is a multi-faceted one and sometimes my decisions are not based on what you are looking at but very often on what you are not seeing.

 I am expecting firstly that you continue to respect my office no matter who you are and that includes you who are my close family. This is not a family church but a church made up of families who all share in its well-being and its welfare.

All ministry in this place in under my command as I seek to please the commanding officer Himself who is Christ the Lord. I am the only Pastor at Arena Park and all others who work closely with me are the Ministry team. I want to remind you that although we are equal as men and woman we have specific tasks and responsibilities that make us different. The term called out ones does imply from out of this world and also those called to a specific task inside this world. The elders are my advisors and I will make my decisions based on consultation with them. I have resolved that if there is no consensus on pertinent issues I will delay a decision and we will seek the face of God as we lead this flock for the Glory of God. You are expected to be faithful in your attendance and your support both prayerfully and financially.

All of you who want to be leaders both now and in the future must commit yourselves to a learning process. Now many of you are learned in the physical world and can teach me a thing or two but the Christian life is maintained by a daily infilling of the Holy Spirit and by daily directives found in scripture maintained by daily devotions which include prayer and Bible study. Sunday is our Sabbath and we must be careful that we do not devote it to other things and God is given second place. All leaders will be compelled to attend our times of study and reflections.

Let us build on the future together. One brick at a time will result in a building in time. Our new facility will be built soon and we will make a greater impact in this infected society as we strive to be an interested society of saints. This year we will accomplish that which has been lying dormant in the past. I am calling on you to invest and see that investment grow into an incredible ministry for the Glory of His matchless Name. Come let us build.... This is going to be a year of a great harvest. I declare we shall not be moved but shall move a step closer to the finish by faith.

We do not know everything but we are willing to learn as we teach and serve as we seek survival. The family will remain our force to change the future so wake up parishioner ( dying old saint ) and become a power ranger ( filled with the Spirit). 

I dare you to make Christ your everything today , tomorrow and until your day on earth ends. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to lead you at such a time like this. I have opted to be successful, have success implanted in you and prepare a successor who is willing to walk with me even though he can run faster than me.
